Most people have some an idea on what areas of their life they’d like to improve on, but don’t really develop their New Year’s resolutions until New Years’ eve! You need to make a plan now so you can map your way to success in 2018.
Create a Schedule
Whether you want to learn a new language or become a better cook, set aside some time during your week to solely focus on bettering yourself. Make sure to schedule some time for those activities and stick to it as close as possible.
Get Started Immediately
Sometimes large goals are too intimidating to tackle. The best way to follow through with your goal is to just get started. Start out small and over the year gradually increase the intensity.
Post Your Goal in a Visible Area
Sometimes you just need a little reminder on what you are striving to do. Place cute reminders or inspirational quotes around areas you are normally in to remind yourself what you are working towards and to boost morale.
Use the Buddy System
Everything is easier with a friend! Not only will the goal seem more fun since you have someone to share the experience with, you can also keep each other accountable.
Even if you have a few slip-ups when trying to accomplish your goal, do not give up! Keep fighting on until you have accomplished everything you wanted to do.
